DOMENIILE SAHATENI
Domeniile Sahateni is a Romanian wine producer owned by Aurelia Visinescu, a reputable Romanian oenologist, and her associate.
The winery is based in Dealu Mare region, where the “terroir” has proved that exceptional wines can be achieved and consists of 70ha vines. The investments raise up to 5 million €uro and have been dedicated to replantation of vines, ultramodern cellar, bottling section and wine ageing barriques cellar. The high technology equipment offers crushing facilities of 1 000 to per season (30% whites and 70% reds), with two separate production lines, complete automated controlled fermentation for both white and red wines. All machinery used in production process is alimentary steel. Total capacity of production is 1.000.000 bottles per season.
Bottled wine is stored as finite product in our modern warehouse while another part of the wine is aged in Romanian oak barriques and also bottle aged in the cellar. The main grapes varieties are: : Feteasca Neagra, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir – for red wines and Feteasca Alba, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Tamăioasă Romănească and Muscat Ottonel for white wines.
Aurelia Visinescu brand was launched at the end of 2010. Bearing the name and the signature of the oenologist, the line is made up by three sub-brands: Nomad, Artisan, Anima.
Nomad the wine aimed at the adventurous, created by Aurelia on the return from the vineyards of the New World. Nomad represents a modern style of wine, a new experience. Nomad wines are both Romanian varieties – Feteasca Alba, Feteasca Neagra and international varieties – Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot.
Artisan is the line dedicated to indigenous Romanian varieties specific to Dealu Mare region. These wines are singular or blends: Tamaioasa Romaneasca menium sweet and dry, Feteasca Alba barrique, Feteasca Neagra, White Artisan (Tamaioasa Romaneasca, Riesling, Feteasca Alba) and Red Artisan (Feteasca Neagra, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot).
Anima is the exclusive wine, created with passion and involvement of mind, body and soul. Anima private collection is a celebration of wine. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are to be found in limited supply.
The new brand which enriched Aurelia Visinescu wines in March 2012 is Karakter. The line is dedicated to international varieties – Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Cabernet Sauvignon.
